Summary: DocumentatorIQ processes captured webpage content locally in your browser. DocumentatorIQ does not require an account, does not upload captured webpage content to DocumentatorIQ servers, does not sell user data, and does not use captured data for advertising.

1. What DocumentatorIQ does

DocumentatorIQ is a web documentation and capture extension. It can save webpages, visible areas, scrollable content, chats, and multi-step web sessions as PDF or screenshot files.

2. Data handled by the extension

When you explicitly use a capture feature or run a web session, DocumentatorIQ may process the following information only as necessary to provide that feature:

Website content, such as text, images, hyperlinks, and visible page content selected for capture.
Personal communications, such as chat content, only when you choose to capture a page or scrollable area containing such communications.
Web navigation information, such as the current page URL and navigation events, when required for Automatic Sessions, source-URL labeling, and capture organization.
Extension settings and temporary session state, such as language, capture preferences, session state, and file organization settings.

3. How data is used

Data is used only to provide DocumentatorIQ's user-facing capture and documentation features, including:

creating PDF and screenshot files;
capturing full pages, visible areas, and scrollable content;
capturing automatic or manual multi-page sessions;
merging session captures;
adding an optional source URL;
organizing downloaded files and remembering extension settings.

4. Local processing and storage

Captured webpage content is processed locally in the browser. DocumentatorIQ does not operate a cloud service for uploading or storing your captured webpage content. Generated files are saved to your device using the browser's download functionality.

Extension preferences and temporary session information may be stored locally using browser extension storage or local browser databases. Temporary session data is used only to complete capture and merge operations and is periodically cleaned up.

5. Data sharing

DocumentatorIQ does not sell user data and does not transfer captured webpage content to third parties for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

6. Advertising and analytics

DocumentatorIQ does not use captured webpage content for personalized advertising. The extension does not include third-party advertising or analytics that receive captured webpage content.

7. Remote code

DocumentatorIQ does not execute remotely hosted code. Executable extension code is packaged with the extension.

8. Permissions

DocumentatorIQ requests browser permissions only when they are necessary for its capture, session, PDF-generation, file-saving, settings, and navigation features. Permission use is limited to the extension's disclosed single purpose.

9. Chrome Web Store Limited Use

DocumentatorIQ's use of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. User data is used only to provide or improve DocumentatorIQ's disclosed user-facing capture and documentation functionality.

10. Your control

DocumentatorIQ processes page content when you initiate a capture, select a scrollable block, or run a session feature. You can stop using the extension at any time and uninstall it through your browser's extension management page. Downloaded files remain under your control on your device.

11. Changes to this policy

If DocumentatorIQ's data practices materially change, this Privacy Policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures will be updated before the changed practices are introduced.
